What's Next For Marissa Alexander

So, what are the future plans for Marissa Alexander. For a brief moment let's recap the past of Marissa Alexander. If you remembered, Alexander was sent to jail in the State of Florida because she fired one "warning shot"  to her abusive ex husband who had threaten to take her life. No one was injured in the shooting, but her actions on that day in Aug 2010 lead to her immediate arrest, conviction and a twenty-year prison sentence. In 2013, the jurors conviction was overturned when the appeals court schedule a re-trial.

To make a long story short in 2015,  Alexander agreed to a plea bargain under agreement to a two year house arrest. Alexander discussed plans of her future with MSNBC Melissa Harris-Perry and said that her focus is now on: Focusing on the development of her kids, pursuing her education and obtaining her pre-legal certification, growing in knowledge in the legal community in areas like criminal law, and helping others. Way to go Marissa Alexander. What others meant for bad, God turns it around for the good.
