Now That Easter Is Over: Did You Notice A Difference In Cadbury's Chocolate?
When we read this, we were kinda surprise this was done. Remember what we said prior to this article concerning the secular world? Read: Why It Is Not Okay For Christians To Wear A Cross. The secular world is full of pretenders. The world doesn't love God, the world loves trends. To say the least, we're glad Cadbury did such an unconventional thing to a popular pagan holiday.
Here it is...
Cadbury Chocolate Eggs has decided to "quietly" pull the word "Easter" from the packaging of its holiday products. They aren't the only ones either. It's becoming a trend to scroll through a festive supermarket candy isle during the Easter season without seeing one actual mention of the holiday. Instead, you are most likely to see "faith-neutral" type of eggs. It was a group of Christians that noticed the change from the company. Of course the company received backlash for doing this great deed. Cadbury has denied accusations that it has caved to secular pressure and removed Easter from its iconic chocolates, stating that the word "Easter" still appears, if not prominently, on the back of the creme egg wrappers. But we at The PREYing Narcissist aren't complaining at all.
We agree with the founder David Marshall when he said: "A lot of businesses are not comfortable with the religious aspect of the festival. If they want to make their product as attractive to as many people as possible it could well be that they want to remove references to the Christian festival because that will be seen as attaching to one faith tradition."
It's about time someone recognized the truth about this pagan holiday, Easter. Thank you Cadbury for taking a stand unknowingly!
